My Supervision Approach

Helping others succeed through teaching and mentoring is a privilege and a calling. I take a  strengths-based approach to supervision with a focus on professionalism and ethical practice. I am a board certified LCSW supervisor in the state of Texas and provide clinical supervision to LMSWs practicing in many varied fields including:

• Inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy

• General private practice

• Hospice

• Long term care and hospital acute care

• Adolescent and adult out patient treatment (PHP and IOP)

• Immigrant populations

• School-based behavioral treatment

I have over twenty years of experience as a clinical social worker and have spent much of my career mentoring others, including supervising LMSWs and serving as a field instructor for MSW students. From 2014 to 2024, I also had the privilege of teaching Grief and Bereavement Therapy as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work. I am currently in private practice as a psychotherapist.

Is Advanced Clinical Supervision Right for You?

• LCSW status is open to LMSWs who wish to advance their clinical status, expand career opportunities or work in private practice

• In order to  apply for LCSW advanced clinical status, the State of Texas requires 100 hours of direct clinical supervision over a period of at least 24 months prior to sitting for the ASWB comprehensive exam.
